Penrith Custom Home

A knockdown rebuild completed for a growing family in Penrith, designed around their brief for a home that brings people together. Nominated for the Housing Industry Association NSW Custom Home of the Year (Under One Million) award, and featured in two national trade publications.

The Project

This Penrith knockdown rebuild delivered a four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home across 370 square metres, built for a family who loves hosting, values understated finishes, and wanted a home that works as well for a quiet family evening as it does for a full house of guests.

The design blends Scandinavian barn influences with a contemporary Australian coastal aesthetic, a combination that sounds bold on paper and feels completely natural in the finished home. Clean structure, warm materials and generous spaces create an environment that shifts comfortably between quiet and busy.

Industry Recognition

This home was nominated for the Housing Industry Association NSW Custom Home of the Year (Under One Million) award, placing it among the most highly regarded custom residential builds in New South Wales in its category. The project was also featured by Pernini Tiles and in Dahlsen's Builder's Trademark Publication, recognition of both the design direction and the standard of construction delivery.

Design and Finishes

The Scandinavian barn influence brings structure and restraint, and the coastal aesthetic keeps the home warm, light and connected to its surroundings. Every finish was chosen to reflect the owners' preference for understated character, nothing overdone, everything considered.
